Her work has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and published in two anthologies: Tremors and Let Me Tell You Where I’ve Been. An excerpt from The Stationery Shop was published in Solstice Literary Magazine and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her debut novel Together Tea was a Massachusetts Book Award Finalist\, an NPR WBUR Good Read\, and a Target Emerging Author Selection. Together Tea has been translated into German\, Italian\, Norwegian\, Czech and Slovak and was recently adapted for the stage. Marjan teaches writing at GrubStreet in Boston. She lives with her husband and two children in the Boston area. \nGrace Talusan is author of the memoir\, The Body Papers\, winner of the 2017 Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing for Nonfiction. She was born in the Philippines and came to the US with her parents at age 2. She has published essays\, longform journalism\, fiction and book reviews in Brevity\, Creative Nonfiction\, Boston Magazine\, Boston Globe\, The Rumpus\,and many others. She has degrees in English from Tufts University and the University of California\, Irvine. Her writing has been supported by the Fulbright\, Hedgbrook\, Ragdale\, the Massachusetts Cultural Council and others. She teaches writing at Tufts University and Grub Street.

Named one of the best books of the year by Entertainment Weekly\, Audible.com\, Bustle\, Book Riot\, The Times of London\, The Guardian\, and The Sydney Press Herald\, it was an Indie Next Pick and a Junior Library Guild selection\, long-listed for the Gordon Burn Prize\, short-listed for the CWA Gold Dagger\, and a finalist for a New England Book Award\, a Goodreads Choice Award\, and the Grand Prix des lectrices ELLE\, and has been translated into eight languages.
